About Mathaytes (click the link for more about the name)
This site is a place for reflecting upon God’s word and its application in our lives. It is a place to ponder and discuss the inexhaustible wisdom of God’s revelation of Himself to the world in His Word. It is my prayer that the postings on this site might be helpful to fellow Christians and encourage them to think about issues or matters that they may not have thought about before or to revisit issues that deserve further study. I hope that in so doing each post would help in some way to call attention to the majesty and greatness of God and His word.
The posting topics come from a number of different places including conversations, things I am reading, and questions I am asked in bible study classes. If there is a question or topic that you would like to see addressed you can contact me at mathaytes.blogspot@gmail.com. If you have comments about anything already posted, whether you agree or disagree, I encourage you to leave comments on the site so other readers may benefit from your insights.

I am a sinner saved by grace who is overwhelmed with the God who has saved me. I am a husband to a wonderful wife and a father of two precious children. In ministry to The Body I have served for many years as a teacher and elder and am currently looking for a new church home after relocating for work. To pay my bills I work full time as a manager at a distribution company (one of the reasons I don’t have time to edit the posts the way I would like). My primary areas of Christian study are systematic theology, apologetics, and church history. I have a B.A. in history and literature from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. from the Pennsylvania State University
